A Cochrane review in 2015 by Anita Gross and colleagues found cervical spine mobilisation "may not reduce pain more than an inactive control" and "uncertainty about the effectiveness of mobilisation or manipulation for neck pain remains." So where does that leave us? With no evidence for mobilisation or other manual therapy?
