ELIGIBILITY
The prerequisite to become a Clinical Edge member, or enrol on an online or face to face courses are a Bachelor Degree (including a major in Anatomy) in one of the health sciences with an emphasis on manual therapy and orthopaedic and manual musculoskeletal medicine. All course participants and those holding a Clinical Edge membership must ensure they work within their scope of practice. We suggest appropriate professional indemnity insurance is held by all Clinical Edge members and course participants.
All course material and education is not intended to replace clinical reasoning and decision making by healthcare professionals during patient care.
It is the responsibility of the healthcare professional to determine which assessments and treatments are safe and appropriate for each individual in their care. We cannot be held responsible for injury or any other consequences of a healthcare professional choosing to apply information from our courses in patient care.
It is the responsibility of the healthcare professional to ensure they are appropriately qualified, registered and insured to treat patients under their care and adhere to local regulations.
Registering or completing any of our teaching material doesn’t qualify an individual to independently assess and treat specific injuries or any other patient group.
Health professionals must limit their practice to those areas in which they have established and maintained their competence. Completing an online course or any of our teaching materials may not be sufficient to establish personal competence in a new area.
Students - Due to APA requirements, students are not able to attend face to face courses, until studies are completed and registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) or the relevant registration board is obtained. Students are able to become Clinical Edge members and attend virtual conferences and webinars and online courses.
Healthcare students (such as Physiotherapists) may complete online course or our other teaching material but they are responsible for ensuring the practice with adequate supervision in a way that is safe and appropriate for their level of learning and qualification.

CONFIDENTIALITY AND NON-COMPETE
Users of our Site hereby understand that the tools, processes, strategies, materials and information presented on our Site are copyrighted and proprietary, so users agrees not to record, duplicate, distribute, teach or train from our information in any manner whatsoever without our express written permission. Any unauthorized use or distribution of our Site proprietary concepts, materials, and intellectual property by you or your representatives is prohibited and Promoter will pursue legal action and full damages if these terms are violated in order to protect its rights.
SECURITY
All transactions performed via the Clinical Edge Site are so via Stripe, and protected by an SSL certificate. Clinical Edge holds no credit card details/information. Clinical Edge cannot be held liable for any issues with money transfer or credit information and its misuse.
CONNECTION
Clinical Edge take no responsibility for failure of users to have the correct hardware to use this site. All users should read the hardware requirements prior to joining or buying lectures – these can be found on the registration PAGE. Users will require a smartphone, tablet or PC or Mac based personal computer running Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 or MAC OSX or later. An internet connection is also required as well as the ability to listen to sound through the computer (Sound Card).
Clinical Edge cannot take any responsibility for the failure of users hardware or inadvertent internet connection loss/quality deterioration during any online activities or events. It is up to the user to ensure adequate internet connection (recommended broadband at a minimum speed of 256/64) with their own internet service provider (ISP. Clinical Edge does not control, monitor or regulate users connections to the internet. It is also up to the user to ensure they have adequate UPLOAD/DOWNLOAD quota available through their ISP. Clinical Edge cannot be held responsible for breaching download/upload limits. Users must responsibly monitor their OWN ISP determined limit.
Every effort is made to keep the Site up and running smoothly. However, Clinical Edge takes no responsibility for & will not be liable for the Site being temporarily unavailable due to technical issues beyond our control. Clinical Edge also takes no responsibility for loss of video, audio or presentation feeds – Clinical Edge will always ensure that if any presentations are missed the viewers are able to re-watch it at anytime within 7 days of the event failure.

The use of these terms, images related to these terms, or any term/image relating to Clinical Edge infringes trademark & copyright law. Clinical Edge reserves the right to remove access from members without remuneration who breach the terms and conditions of the Clinical Edge Site. This Site is intended for education of Registered Health Care Providers only, and its use it not intended for the information of the general public. Clinical Edge reserves the right to deny access to members of the public and to any persons who it feels may be in violation of the terms and conditions or any policy on this site.
CLINICAL EDGE MEMBERSHIP
Free trial - A Clinical Edge membership free trial provides full access to the Clinical Edge Site, and the opportunity to fully explore the Site and decide if the education provided is appropriate for you. Membership payments will commence automatically on the plan you chose when signing up for a free trial, 7 days following the commencement of your trial. To cancel your membership at any stage please use the Cancel button in the subscription tab in your Clinical Edge account. You can cancel your membership at any point prior to the next billing date. If you cancel during your free trial period you will not be charged.
7 day free trials are only available once to new Clinical Edge membership trials. If you have experienced a free trial previously and you signup for a Clinical Edge membership your payment will be processed immediately as there is only 1 free trial per customer.
No refunds are available if you do not wish to hold a membership and fail to cancel the membership during the free trial period.
Monthly and annual membership - You are able to cancel your membership at any time prior to your next billing date. No further payments will be taken for membership if cancelled prior to the next billing date. Next Billing Date can be viewed in the Subscription section of your Clinical Edge account, and is displayed in Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST).
Monthly Clinical Edge memberships will be automatically billed each month on an ongoing basis unless the subscriber cancels or suspends their membership prior to subsequent payment
Annual Clinical Edge memberships will automatically renew 364 days after the initial invoice unless the subscriber cancels their Clinical Edge membership prior to the membership renewal date. Members can elect prior to this date to move from an annual membership to a monthly membership or to cease their annual membership by cancelling their membership within their Account Settings. If no cancellation is received then the annual membership will automatically renew.
Membership payments are non transferable and access is valid for the current paid month only.
Sharing - Memberships and online course/virtual conference enrolments are for individuals only. A lot of work goes into providing great education, so please do not share memberships, online courses/virtual conference enrolments. If you share your membership online course or virtual conference enrolment, your membership or conference/course enrolment will be immediately suspended, and no refund provided. If you would like to provide access for members of your clinic, you can receive a significant discount, details of which can be found in the "Subscription" part of your members dashboard. You can also contact admin(at)clinicaledge.co and we will be happy to provide you with clinic membership details.
REFUNDS
No refunds will be provided on Clinical Edge membership, course, online course or conference enrolments, including any payments made following a free Clinical Edge membership trial.
No refunds are provided for change of mind purchases.
COURSE BOOKING TERMS
Completion of a booking form creates a binding agreement to follow the course and pay the full fee. Participants are not confirmed on the course until full course fees have been paid. If you are applying for funding the course fee will need to be paid at the time of booking and this will be refunded when paid by your employer.
COURSE CANCELLATION
Course cancellation by you
We will try to accommodate any changes in your needs but cannot always guarantee that we will be able to do so. If you need to cancel your course for any reason after booking you must inform us as soon as possible. If you do cancel the refund terms are as follows:
For physical, face to face courses, cancellations received more than 3 weeks before the course start date have a $200 or 10% of full fee administration fee (whichever is greater). Cancellations received less than 3 weeks before course start date you pay 100% of the total paid. If no notice is given or you fail to attend or leave the course (due to illness or other reason), you pay 100% of the total paid.
Cancellations of online course or virtual conference enrolment, eg the Running Repairs online course, The Shoulder: Steps to Success online course will not receive any refund whatsoever.
Cancellation by us
We will always try our best to avoid cancelling an event. If circumstances occur that force us to cancel an event you will receive a full refund of any course fees paid or the opportunity to transfer your place to the same course on another date or another course/s up to the same value. Any card fees paid will not be refunded.
We aim to give a minimum of 2-3 weeks notice when cancelling an event. Clinical Edge are not held liable for any additional expenses you incur through cancelling the event e.g. travel expenses and accommodation. If there are circumstances beyond our control which cause us to cancel or change your trip such as war, riot, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire or adverse weather conditions applications we will not refund or pay you any compensation or be liable for any other expenses to you.
If you have booked on a course with Clinical Edge and you do not meet the course pre-requisites (e.g required profession, professional registration and insurance requirements or previous training requirements, then you will be removed from the course and nil refund will be provided, so please ensure that the course requirements are meet prior to enrolment on the course. Clinical Edge will not be liable for any additional expenses associated with removing you from the event e.g travel and accommodation expenses.
Cancellation by us due to participant illness
If you become unwell at the course or attend the course unwell and are infectious you will be asked to leave the course (e.g conjunctivitis, gastro/food poisoning/vomiting or diarrhoea or other). Nil refund will be given in this instance. In the event of diarrhoea or vomiting prior to the course you will need to be 48hrs without symptoms to be able to attend the course. We will try and fill your place on the course if we can, however if we are not able to then no refund will be available if it is within 3 weeks of the event commencement date. Clinical Edge will not be liable for any additional expenses associated with removing you from the event e.g travel and accommodation expenses due to illness.
Refunds - Any eligible face-to-face course refunds processed will be forwarded only to the credit card used for the purchase.
Service - We will endeavour to provide the course as described on the Site or any other promotional material. Please be aware, due to unforeseen circumstances details may need to be altered, however the overall quality of the course will not be diminished and we will endeavour to notify you as soon as possible of any changes.
Partners - We work with a number of other companies, venues and service partners and cannot be held liable for any damages, losses or inconveniences resulting from them. We will always try to make sure these problems are minimal and will deal with any situations as they arise.
Limit of liability - CE have a duty of care to its customers and staff but are only liable up to the cost of your course. We cannot be held responsible for damage and/or loss to your personal possessions. We are also not liable for failure in carrying out the contract if the failure is due to the action of the participant or the action of a third party.
Your responsibilities - You accept that some courses have a practical component to them which if applied inappropriately may involve elements of risk or discomfort. By agreeing to these terms and conditions you take personal responsibility for your own actions. CE take no responsibility for damage, death or injury caused to you or by you as a result of participation. CE take no responsibility for the use of any material or skills with any future patients following completion of your course. You must at all times work within your own ability and scope of practice. We reserve the right to refuse your acceptance on a course if we feel it is outside your scope of practice and may put other participants at risk or injury or discomfort. It is your responsibility to ensure you have professional liability insurance to cover you for your attendance at the course and the course content and that you meet the criteria for attending the course. We reserve the right to refuse entry to a course (or remove you from a course) if you cannot demonstrate you have appropriate liability insurance or you do not have the qualifications required to attend as stated above e.g Physiotherapist, Chiropractor, Osteopath or Sports Doctor.
You must be physically able to partake in the course and if you do have any injuries, discomfort or prior knowledge that is relevant to any activities being performed it is your responsibility to make those known. We reserve the right to remove any person from a course if their behaviour is deemed by the lecturer/tutor to be detrimental to the group, unsafe or adversely affecting the groups' enjoyment. We will not be liable for any refund in these circumstances.
Medical - It is your responsibility to ensure that you are sufficiently fit and adequately equipped to partake on your chosen course. You must tell us of any medical conditions at the time of booking via email to info(at)clinicaledge.co
It is also your responsibility to inform Clinical Edge of any dietary requirements or allergies (e.g food related or latex) at the time of enrolment or at least 3 weeks prior to the course commencing.
If for any reason you are not in a suitable condition to attend or complete a course or are under the influence of drink or drugs the facilitator or tutor may ask you to leave the course. We will not be liable for any extra expense incurred by this and you will not be able to claim a refund. It is your responsibilty to inform Clinical Edge if you are pregnant or become pregnant after registering for the course.
If you are unwell on the day you may also be asked to leave the course (e.g bacterial or viral gastroenteritis, vomiting/diarrhoea within 48 hrs of the course, conjunctivitis etc). Nil refund will be given.
Complaints - Should you have a problem or complaint on your course you must bring it to the attention of our staff as soon as possible and we will try to rectify the problem. If you feel that the problem was not resolved and resulted in a much reduced enjoyment of the course you must inform us in writing within 28 days and we will respond within 28 days to resolve the matter to the satisfaction of both parties.
Privacy- We will not pass on your personal details to any third party except for training partners and lecturers presenting at one of our courses/conferences. Their individual terms and conditions will need to be consulted. You will be given the opportunity to opt out of having your details passed on.
When attending face to face courses there may be an element of undressing as part of the practical components of courses. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing for participation in practical components where undressing is not required.
