“I have a patient who is training for their first 50km trail run in 6 weeks. They’ve developed hip pain and are struggling to run. Should they continue to run with hip pain, and how can I help get them ready for 50km of hills in 6 weeks?”

“My patient has knee pain when they run. Should I focus on their strength, range of movement, control, start changing their running gait, manage their load or work on something else entirely?”

“I know a bit about treating runners, but I feel like I could help my patients have a faster recovery and get back to running quicker”

Carla (Physio) said this about the Running Repairs Online course

Do your patients know the way forward?

Right now there are a lot of injured runners and sportspeople, that don’t know whether they can keep running, or if they’ll have to give up running and sport completely. They can’t see a way forward.

You can help

You can get great results and get your patients get back to running painfree. You’ll enjoy treating these active patients, feel confident in your assessment & treatment, and become a better practitioner.

How can you get the results you want?

If you’re not seeing the results you want from your treatment, something needs to change. If you want to help more patients, and enjoy and feel fulfilled in your clinical career, you NEED to know what to say and do for your patients at the right time.

Accurate assessment and effective treatment are REQUIRED SKILLS if you want to make an impact and have long-term patient success.

Simple and effective

Over the past 15 years, Tom Goom has successfully treated thousands of runners and running injuries. Tom has a busy clinical caseload made up predominantly of runners, and has used the research and his clinical experience to develop an effective treatment approach for running injuries.

Every day, success with his running injury patients creates a word of mouth referral system that brings in a steady stream of injured runners who are motivated to recover and get stuck into their rehab.

Tom’s used his experience to teach therapists all over the globe a simple and effective step by step approach to running injuries and how to overcome the barriers we face when treating runners.

The difference between feeling great and feeling frustrated

Effective treatment is the difference between feeling great when you help your patients get back to the sport they love, and frustration when they’re not getting the results you and your patients want.

Great treatment gets you and your patients excited about your treatment results. And you can provide great treatment.

This quick video will give you an inside look into what you will get access to with the Running Repairs Online course.

We filmed the entire Running Repairs face to face course, and recruited an Australian national level 100m hurdler (Hannah) as our demonstration model. Hannah was perfect for Tom to demonstrate assessment tests, running assessment, running drills for your runners and athletes to use in their rehab, gait retraining, exercises and progressions that you can use with your runners.  There was a lot of work involved in filming the entire course, and we also had a lot of fun! Tom used the opportunity to develop some incredible leg strength and speed….. To help Tom out with this, and to see how strong he really is, I put him to the test in the gym, which you can watch here.
As you can imagine, recording practical exercise videos doesn't always go exactly as anticipated, and here are a few clips where things didn't go to plan...
Besides having a great time filming, we wanted to make the Running Repairs Online course really practical for you, so you could use it immediately with your runners in your clinic, so we planned out the best way for you to go through the course online.

What are people saying about the Running Repairs online course?

Running Repairs has hours of content and loads of great modules but our favourite parts are the feedback we get from participants and the community we’ve created in our Facebook Group.

We’ve had some brilliant messages from people telling us about the impact it’s had on their practice...

Brilliant clear learning resource...

"Great balance of evidence, theory, practical strategies..."

“...Just finished the running repairs course- fantastic course, I am sure you have had great feedback already- great balance of evidence, theory, practical strategies and it is always a pleasure to hear an expert talk in ways where they are open to change and future development rather than in matter of fact ways, and of course it helps when someone is genuinely a nice guy (this is half the treatment process!).

Your footwear bonus module was great, in an era with an abundance of footwear advice and hype, you summed it up well, kept to the evidence and what works practically. It is easy to become overwhelmed with all the information out there, so it needs to be packaged into a nice bundle that is easy to understand and practical to implement- this is what you’ve done.” Brandon

"It's literally the best thing I've done in a long time!!..."

“Hi Tom, I just wanted to say how awesome the Running Repairs course is. As a Podiatrist I am absolutely loving the new angles and new assessments which I am already introducing into my clinics to the huge benefit of my patients and my practice. It's literally the best thing I've done in a long time!!...The course has been completely invaluable to me and has added hugely to my practice.” Kirsten

A fantastic clinically useful course with tons of practical information that you can put into practice the next day..."

“A fantastic clinically useful course with tons of practical information that you can put into practice the next day. Clear, concise, and really breaks down the current complicated and often confusing research into much simpler, clinically applicable concepts. Tom is extremely generous with sharing info and always very accessible if you have any questions.” Carla

“...I would also like to add the importance of the Facebook Group to deepen the topics and clarify the doubts.” Antonio

Really glad I can do it my own pace...

“Still slowly working my way through (so really glad I can do it my own pace! ) Currently really loving the gait analysis with side by side videos. I've never had the chance to do gait analysis in such detail before. ...so helpful!” Melanie

Also on social media....

“Highly recommended for any practitioners out there with an interest in treating running athletes!” Sportschiroluke (on instagram)

The Running Repairs Facebook group has been a real highlight for us. It’s a great place for us to answer questions, discuss new research and offer support as people explore the course content. It’s been especially nice for us to see people supporting each other within the group and discussing topics around running and rehab.

Gold is best for you if:

  • You will complete the entire course in 12 months

Platinum is our most popular option, and is best for you if:

  • You are not sure how long it will take you to complete the course, so lifetime access is perfect for you. You will likely complete it in 12 months, but sometimes life happens and it's nice to have a buffer.
  • You like to refer to videos of assessment tests, exercises or progressions again in the future
  • You want full access to all future updates to the course, additional modules and material
  • You would like access to ask Tom questions anytime you have them in the Facebook group
  • You would like to discuss your running-injury questions with other knowledgeable therapists. The Facebook group is perfect for this.
  • You benefit from case studies and seeing more detail on how the course is applied to real patients. The live "Case conferences" in the Facebook group taking you through real case studies will really help you
  • You like downloading audio files and listening to the lectures wherever you are, like driving, travelling or exercising.

Diamond is best for you if:

  • You would like all of the benefits of Platinum
  • You would also like access to practical, ongoing education on musculoskeletal and sports pain and injury at a discounted rate. You will receive 12 months Platinum Clinical Edge membership with a Diamond ticket, giving you full access to the entire library of videos and new monthly content, audio file downloads of each online course, and full BJSM access.
